Rock Solid Construction of the Carolinas is looking for an outgoing, dependable, and motivated In-Store Lead Generator to represent our company inside BJ’s Wholesale Club.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys talking with people, building relationships, and helping homeowners learn about exterior home-improvement options. You will engage BJ’s members, identify potential home-improvement needs, and schedule qualified appointments for our sales team.
This is not a high-pressure sales position. Your primary responsibility is to start conversations, create interest, collect accurate customer information, and generate quality appointments.
What You’ll Do
Professionally represent Rock Solid Construction inside BJ’s Wholesale Club.
Greet and engage BJ’s members in a friendly, respectful manner.
Ask homeowners questions about their current or future home-improvement needs.
Educate members about the products and services available through Rock Solid Construction.
Generate qualified leads and schedule in-home appointments.
Accurately enter customer information into the company’s lead-management system.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional display area.
Follow all BJ’s Wholesale Club and Rock Solid Construction policies.
Communicate daily results, customer feedback, and store activity to management.
Build positive working relationships with BJ’s managers and team members.

Position Summary
The BJ’s In-Store Lead Generator is responsible for representing Rock Solid Construction of the Carolinas within an assigned BJ’s Wholesale Club location.
The Lead Generator initiates conversations with BJ’s members, determines whether they have a potential home-improvement need, explains the general benefits of the program, gathers accurate customer information, and schedules qualified appointments for the Rock Solid sales team.
The Lead Generator is the first point of contact between the homeowner and Rock Solid Construction. The position must consistently demonstrate professionalism, honesty, enthusiasm, and respect for BJ’s members, employees, and management.

The BJ’s In-Store Lead Generator reports to:

The position may also receive direction from company leadership and authorized BJ’s store management regarding store procedures and conduct.
Primary Responsibilities
Proactively greet BJ’s members who enter the assigned promotional area.
Begin natural, professional conversations without creating unnecessary pressure.
Use company-approved conversation starters, questions, and marketing materials.
Determine whether the member owns a home and has a present or future remodeling need.
Respectfully conclude conversations when a member is not interested.
Never argue with, pressure, follow, or repeatedly approach a member who has declined.
The Lead Generator should gather enough information to determine whether the member represents a legitimate opportunity.

The Lead Generator must not knowingly submit false, incomplete, duplicate, or unqualified leads simply to increase production numbers.
Explain the purpose of the in-home consultation.
Set realistic expectations regarding the appointment.
Confirm the homeowner’s name, address, telephone number, email, project type, and appointment time.
Make reasonable efforts to ensure all homeowners or decision-makers will be available.
Enter the appointment promptly into the approved system.
Review all information for accuracy before submitting the lead.
Follow company procedures for appointment confirmations and customer follow-up.
Explain the Rock Solid and BJ’s home-improvement program accurately.
Use only approved statements regarding pricing, warranties, financing, discounts, installation, scheduling, and product availability.
Avoid making promises or guarantees outside the Lead Generator’s authority.
Refer detailed product, financing, construction, and pricing questions to the assigned sales representative.
Protect the reputation of both Rock Solid Construction and BJ’s Wholesale Club.
Maintain a respectful relationship with BJ’s management and employees.
Follow all store rules concerning arrival, departure, parking, breaks, solicitation areas, dress, displays, and member interaction.
Introduce yourself to the appropriate store manager at the beginning of each shift when required.
Immediately report store concerns or complaints to Rock Solid management.
Do not interfere with BJ’s employees or normal store operations.
Keep the company’s booth, table, signage, and surrounding area clean and orderly.
The Lead Generator will be expected to accurately track:

Store traffic and promotional activity
Daily reports must be submitted according to management instructions.

Attend scheduled sales, marketing, and lead-generation meetings.
Participate in coaching and performance reviews.
Implement reasonable feedback provided by management.
Remain informed about approved promotions and program updates.
Performance Expectations

Never misrepresent the company, the program, or available promotions.
Protect customer information and company records.
Immediately report customer complaints, incidents, injuries, or store concerns.
Follow all safety, privacy, anti-harassment, and nondiscrimination policies.
Prohibited Practices
The following practices are prohibited:
Submitting fake or knowingly inaccurate leads.
Entering a lead without the homeowner’s knowledge or permission.
Promising a specific price, discount, approval, installation date, or financing result.
Claiming to be a BJ’s employee.
Using unapproved signage or promotional language.
Collecting customer information for personal use.
Contacting leads outside company-approved processes.
Leaving the display unattended without authorization.
Working under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs, or any substance that impairs job performance.
Speaking negatively about BJ’s, Rock Solid, customers, competitors, or other employees.
Pressuring or repeatedly approaching members who have declined.
Required Qualifications
At least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to confidently approach and speak with the public.
Dependable transportation to the assigned BJ’s location.
Ability to use a tablet, smartphone, or lead-entry system.
Ability to accurately record customer information.
