What A Mortgage Loan Officer Does:
You will be evaluating client needs and recommending the best loan product to fit those needs. You’ll be helping clients put together their complete loan package for submission and working with the processing and underwriting teams throughout the loan process to ensure a seamless and streamlined experience for your clients and their agents.
What Your Day-To-Day Looks Like:
Meet or speak over the phone with clients to determine their needs; recommend loan products to fit their goals and our lending guidelines.
Maintain a current knowledge of our loan products and regulations. Maintain a thorough understanding of the qualifications required of each applicant.
Manage a lead pipeline and convert prospects to borrowers.
Review active loan files each day for open items. Work with the client, processors, underwriters and our operations team to expedite the process and ensure a smooth and timely closing.
Utilize professional and practical judgement to determine which potential borrowers represent good credit opportunities for the organization, and which are high risk.
About You:
3 to 5 years of mortgage lending experience
Currently licensed under the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry, or willing to become licensed.
Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
Enjoys working with people and providing stellar client experience.
Strong attention to detail and an aptitude for working with numbers.
Experience as a buyer of real property is helpful.
Bachelor’s degree in Business preferred but not required.
