UNREAL ANIMATOR
BLT Recruiting is looking for an accomplished Animator. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of art and animation pipelines in general and of the content creation pipeline in Unreal. A level of technical knowledge combined with strong creative and visual instincts is critical.
Key Responsibilities:
Create previs 3D animatics to inform cinematic sequences and mocap shoots.
Assemble motion capture for body and face along with cameras for external cleanup.
Hero shots that may involve more complexity, replacing motion capture with fully keyframed animation if necessary.
Requirements:
Experience bringing cinematics from script to previs/layout to final animation.
Experience with human and creature keyframed animation and camera animation.
Able to collaborate and take direction from creative leads and the narrative team.
Proficiency with Maya.
Solid foundational animation skills, such as timing, weight, and human anatomy.
Ability to work independently, problem solve on the fly, and collaborate efficiently across disciplines in a small, fast moving team.
Good to have:
Experience working with Unreal Engine Sequencer
Experience with Unreal Control Rig
Experience with motion capture
Experience using Source Control, particularly Perforce
Experience with rigging and rig creation, motion capture recording and processing
Helping develop cinematic pipeline and tools.
Python or similar coding skills
Previous experience working on an AAA, 1st person, console title
