Job Description
Provides front-line and high-level IT hardware, software, and network support to clients to technically assist, simplify, and enhance their IT experience. Plans, designs, configures, and implements IT hardware and software systems and monitors and maintains physical and virtual servers, appliances, and applications. The candidate must have solid knowledge in supporting core business applications, virtual environments, firewalls, network equipment, and networking. Understand cloud environments, including Microsoft and AWS. Replies to requests for technical assistance; identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves technical issues related to hardware, software, and networks.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install and configures network hardware, servers, desktops, and business software implementations.
- Provide technical support to clients onsite or via phone or email.
- Must have strong problem-solving and communication skills and work through technical challenges with clients.
- Install and configure with knowledge in firewalls, IP, routing, and VPN technologies.
- Deliver value, excellence, and quality work for the customer.
- Work may be performed onsite or remotely as required and alone or with a team.
- Documentation of all configurations and systems in our document management system
- Strong capabilities to analyze and troubleshoot network, email, software, and system logs and events.
- Keeps current with system information, changes, and updates; researches and evaluates new technologies; and recommends network and server hardware and software.
- Considers in each task security implications and changes to secure the environment.
- Support of clients one weekend day per team rotation.
- Requires maintaining and repairing hardware, including peripheral devices.
- Knowledge of Azure, AWS, Office 365, and other cloud solutions, including print/scan management.
- Must have the ability to evaluate network performance and issues to improve the overall network and user performance.
- Scheduling and performing upgrades and maintenance without interrupting business workflow as the client requires.
- Working with vendors to get needed equipment for the networks and systems and updates
- Possibility of Field/Onsite work
- Hybrid in office/remote position available
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in technology from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Associate's degree in a technology field from an accredited college or university AND three years’ experience in the IT field
- Five plus years’ experience in the IT / MSP field.
- Teamwork and initiative
- Certification in A+, NET+, and SEC+ are preferred
