We have 5 ORs and perform a broad range of outpatient surgical procedures including orthopedics, podiatry, urology, pain management, ophthalmology, and general surgery.     As a Patient Care Technician, you will have the opportunity to performs basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision in assigned area.

    Responsibilities: Aids with entry and exit of patients. Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living. Reports findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Documents necessary records. Responsible for keeping patient bays clean and orderly as well as maintaining medical equipment.

    Required Skills

    Knowledge of patient care charts and patient histories Patient Interviewing skills Ability to perform standard clinical procedures according to established protocols Knowledge of patient evaluation procedures Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards Ability to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient Understands principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
