Provides diagnostic patient care services using sonographic equipment and communicating the results of the exams to the Radiologist.
Must have experience and be comfortable with arterial and carotid dopplers as well as other vascular exams.
Requires self motivation to increase the level of understanding and knowledge of the field, disease and new procedures as they evolve.
Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Sonography
Possession of current registry in RDMS or ARRT in Sonography
Possession of current RVT registry from RDMS or RVS through CCI
Current BLS from an approved American Heart Association provider
Required Skills Required Experience
Minumum 1-3 years of previous experience required
Special skills required—Ability to read blueprints and other technical materials. Ability to interpret building plans in diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables. Ability to operate networked computer systems and specialized software application programs. Must have excellent oral communication skills and positive interpersonal skills.
