The Sales and Use Tax Analyst will work directly with the Tax Team to assist in monthly compliance related duties for Sales and Use Tax processes. Primary responsibilities will include monthly return preparation. Additional responsibilities will include data reconciliation, workpaper maintenance, credits processing, system updates, and various tax research projects. This position will also collaborate with Sonepar’s Shared Service Center. The role reports directly to the Sales Tax Compliance Manager and requires a detail-oriented mindset, and an eagerness to specialize in a tax function.

Required Experience

Formal Education: Associate's and/or Bachelor’s degree

Area(s) of Study: Tax, Accounting, Finance, Information Technology

Years of Experience: 1-3 years related accounting, tax, or IT experience Technical Competencies:

• Microsoft Office (Outlook, SharePoint, Word)
• Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• CCH AnswerConnect (Wolters Kluwer) a plus
• Vertex Returns & related suite experience a plus
• Prior transactional tax knowledge a plus
