    Prince Williams, a multi-specialty surgery practice with a track-record of excellent patient outcomes is seeking an OR nurse who is well-versed in circulating experiences in the OR suite. Regular duties circulating in the operating room to monitor the surgical procedure. He or she acts as a patient advocate, ensuring that the conditions in the operating room remain safe and sterile. While daily goals must be met, effective circulating OR nurses are flexible and able to prioritize and adapt during shifting priorities and emergencies.

    WE ARE SEEKING SOMEONE IS A PRN/PER DIEM CAPACITY. WE MAKE NO COMMITMENT TO SHIFT OR HOURS AVAILABLE. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS IDEAL FOR SOMEONE SEEKING FLEXIBILITY AND/OR SUPPLEMENTATION TO THEIR INCOME.

     

    Required Skills

    Qualifications

    • Graduate of accredited school or professional nursing.
    • Three (3) years experience in surgery.
    • Current VA RN License
    • BLS, ACLS and PALS required
    • CNOR preferred
    • Critical thinking skills.
    • Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients and families.
    • Knowledgeable of hospital policies and procedures specific to the operating room.
    • Clinically proficient in OR nursing skills, demonstrating knowledge of the developmental needs of the pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

    Required Experience

    • Function as cross-departmental intermediary in support of operations and surgical procedures.
    • Deliver exceptional patient care, including maintaining sterile and safe environment.
    • Cultivate and nurture relationships with patients and families.
    • Ensure availability of legal documentation prior to procedures.
    • Assist with administration of anesthesia; ensured proper positioning of patient for procedures.
    • Evaluate pre-procedure patient condition, including vital signs and responsiveness; reported any irregularities to attending surgeon.
    • Create and maintain proper patient documentation/records
