THIS IS A PART-TIME SEASONAL POSITION.
THIS POSITION BEGINS NOW AND ENDS 12/31/2022.
SUMMARY: Assist with the day-to-day operation of all aspects of the food service operation including supporting team members and management.
MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interacts with guests in a manner that demonstrates a willingness to do “whatever it takes” to make their experience one worth repeating.
- Completes all opening and closing duties to ensure the equipment area is ready for production; Ensures all plate warmers, steam tables, and entrée warmers are plugged in and ready to use.
- Follows all training and safety procedures while maintaining the presentation and quality of our product.
- Assists kitchen with plating entrees and additional menu items.
- Assists Servers by carrying a serving tray weighing up to 50 pounds above shoulder level; ascends and descends stairs while balancing the tray.
- May assist in clearing and resetting tables at the conclusion of each cruise.
- Follows proper cruise schedule and assists team members with their duties; The Showboat cruises up to three times per day, and Server Assistants may be required to work multiple cruises each day.
- Performs in a Safety-Critical evacuation role in the case of an emergency; responsible for directing guests and ensuring they follow all safety precautions and instructions.
- Ensure proper handling of customer credit card information in compliance with Property Procedures and Purchasing Card Industry (PCI) standards.
- Follows all safety procedures.

- Must be comfortable working on a moving vessel away from land.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- The ability to lift and/or move 50 pounds frequently to 200 pounds maximum
- The ability to stand and walk on uneven terrain, inclines, asphalt, and concrete continuously
- The ability to work in cramped quarters continuously
- The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day
- The ability to remember locations, understand and carry out instructions
- The ability to work at a rapid speed continuously
- The ability to use kitchen equipment frequently
Required Experience
- High volume food service experience is preferred.
