As a SILVER DOLLAR UNIVERCITY Intern you will:   

Serve in a leadership role within one of our assigned areas:

• Culinary/Food Management,
• Merchandise & Retail
• Attractions Operations
• Human Resources
• Marketing
• Accounting

Learn directly from our leadership teams in weekly meetings featuring guest speakers from the different functions of Silver Dollar City Attractions.

Dedicated time to meet with supervisors and various projects to improve personal and professional development.

THROUGHOUT THIS PROGRAM STARTING MAY 24TH – AUGUST 12TH 2023, INTERNS WILL BE WORKING 40 HOURS IN SLOT AND 5 HOURS OUT OF SLOT EACH WEEK. THESE 5 HOURS WILL BE DEDICATED TO VARIOUS TASKS, SUCH AS MEETING WITH SUPERVISORS AND WORKING ON A PROJECT.

YOU MUST BE CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN A COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY, OR TECHNICAL SCHOOL TO APPLY AND AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Learn scheduling procedures.
• Learn time keeping procedures.
• Learn performance review procedures. 
• Assist with written communications.
• Help create and implement improvements in safety, guest excellence, profit contribution and job satisfaction.
• Contribute to team-centered projects like surveys, appreciation events, team outings and company events.
• Assist Supervisors and Team Leads with various projects.
• Complete one project benefiting at least one area as determined by management.

Required Experience

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college degree program in a related field.
• Must have basic computer skills with proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
