    Covia is looking for a dynamic  SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST who will have a positive impact on the FINANCE team at its INDEPENDENCE, OH location. This position will be responsible for performance measurement and monitoring of Covia’s businesses including monthly business analysis, forecasting, and annual budgeting.

     

     

    THE SUCCESSFUL INCUMBENT WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

     

    • Prepare and summarize key financial reports including, pricing and volume, expense analysis, and detailed profitability for management review
    • Identify trends and data anomalies for review with senior management team
    • Prepare monthly financial summaries, including income statement, balance sheet and cash flow
    • Assist in preparation of key financial data points in support of external earnings calls
    • Formulate weekly Key Performance Indicator reporting summarizing key trends
    • Collaborate with cross functional teams to provide detailed reviews of spending, capital and other financial analyses to support business needs
    • Collect and analyze competitive landscape and market information

     

     

     

    THE SUCCESSFUL INCUMBENT WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or other related field required
    • 3 to 5 years of progressive leadership experience within accounting or finance required
    • Demonstrated ability to perform complex financial analysis
    • Must possess strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills
    • Must have strong working knowledge with accounting systems and Microsoft Office applications
    • IFS experience preferred
    • Ability to multi-task and manage heavy volume of requests with tight time frame parameters
