    Covia is looking for a dynamic MINE SUPERINTENDENT who will have a positive impact on the JALTIPAN PLANT OPERATIONS team at its JALTIPAN VER.,  MEXICO location.  As a MINE SUPERINTENDENT, you will have the opportunity to coordinate and supervise the mine activities based on internal policies and procedures to warrantee the continuous operations of the mine, and maximize the mineral reserves.

     

     

    THE SUCCESSFUL INCUMBENT WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

     

    • Elaborate the mining monthly planning according production plan

    • Coordinate and supervise stripping, drilling and haulage activities

    • Identify in the mining plan the extracting areas and the capabilities

    • Identify in the mining plan the critical supplies

    • Coordinate and supervise the actives to develop dams according the mining plan base in the environmental regulations

    • Keep and share mining operative information

    • Elaborate the topographic survey to verify the stripping process and mining plan.

    • Recommend and propose new solutions to operations in mine area

    • Follow the continuous improvement program

    • Identify training needs of the mine area team

     

    THE SUCCESSFUL INCUMBENT WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Barchelo’s in Mine / Geology Engineer
    • 8 Years experience as supervisor in mine
    • Knowledge of mining engineer, minerals, explosives, and field geology
    • The candidate must possess excellent communication, problem solving and PC skills as well as the ability to manage people with minimal supervision while working in a team environment.
    • English spoken is a plus
