    +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | The Director of Marketing Communications is a member of the marketing | | leadership team who is responsible for member and provider | | communications for the Health Plan.  This position will focus on | | centralizing and coordinating communications to the market in support of | | our product and services.  The Director will focus on effective | | communication with our providers and members in support of our brand | | objectives and promises. The Director will work on creating efficient | | ways to streamline and automate regulatory communications efforts.  | +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | KEY FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES | | | | - Establish & drive a cohesive multichannel member & provider | | communications strategy. | | - Prepare, manage, and or coordinate member and provider | | communications across the plan including onboarding and | | retention mailings. | | - Track member engagement across various platforms to make data-driven | | decisions | | - Create efficient processes for ongoing regulatory communications. | | - Support government and regulatory waiver, bid and contract | | related communications. | | - Help understand and coordinate plan-wide touchpoints of | | communications with marketing to optimize member experience, | | understanding and engagement. | | - Manage corporate voice and company standards document; ensure | | adherence to these and other communications protocols. | | - Build communications social media strategy and work with digital | | team to manage and execute company’s social properties with member | | and providers | | - Manage information and articles on the company intranet | | - Effectively coordinate with system, hospital and outside | | communications professionals on any needed joint efforts. | | - Prepare and manage annual communications budget. | | - Manage any future Health Plan communications staff | +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | QUALIFICATIONS:_ _ | | | | - 8+ years of communications experience | | - 3 years working for a Health Plan preferred | | - Undergraduate degree in communications, journalism, English,or | | related field; master’s degree is a plus | | - Experience in health insurance preferred or experience in financial | | services or other highly regulated industry | | - Outstanding written, verbal and editing skills including a | | comprehensive knowledge of AP Style and outstanding grammatical | | skills | | - Awareness and proficiency with communications technologies | | - Strong attention to detail | | - Strategic thinker | | - Experience managing other communications professionals a plus | +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, AND ATTRIBUTES:  | | | | - Effective collaborating with diverse professionals across the | | organization | | - Process improvement skills | | - Strong oral and written communication skills | | - Demonstrated ability to successfully plan, organize and lead complex | | efforts | | - Proactive and forward thinking; strong interest in implementing | | innovative technologies, processes, and ideas | | - Detail-oriented, excellent proof reading and editing skills | +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+
