    About This Role

    Technical Source is seeking a BMS Integration Engineer / Building Management Systems Engineer / Facilities Automation Engineer to support a large-scale pharmaceutical manufacturing expansion in North Carolina.

    This role focuses on BMS system design, facility monitoring integration, HVAC automation, and commissioning support within a GMP-regulated environment.

    If you have experience with Building Management Systems (BMS), Environmental Monitoring Systems (EMS), cleanroom HVAC systems, and regulated facility infrastructure, this opportunity offers high visibility during a major greenfield expansion.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead BMS and Facility Monitoring System (FMS) integration

    • Support Building Automation Systems (BAS) architecture and development standards

    • Integrate BMS platforms into site-wide monitoring systems

    • Collaborate with HVAC, utilities, automation, facilities, and IT/OT teams

    • Review technical documentation (FDS, SDS, architecture drawings, network diagrams)

    • Support commissioning, startup, FAT, SAT, and operational readiness

    • Troubleshoot BMS alarms, environmental monitoring systems, and data integrity issues

    • Participate in vendor coordination and technical design reviews

    • Ensure compliance with GMP, GxP, and ALCOA+ principles

    This is a technical leadership role focused on system integration, troubleshooting, and facilities infrastructure, not hands-on PLC programming or validation execution.

    Required Experience

    • 4+ years of experience with:

      • Building Management Systems (BMS)

      • Building Automation Systems (BAS)

      • Environmental Monitoring Systems (EMS)

    • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, or regulated manufacturing

    • Hands-on exposure to one or more of the following platforms:

      • Siemens Desigo / Siemens BMS

      • Schneider Electric (EcoStruxure, Continuum, StruxureWare)

      • Facility monitoring and environmental systems

    • Strong understanding of:

      • HVAC systems

      • Cleanroom environments

      • Utilities infrastructure

      • Regulated facility controls

    • Experience supporting capital projects (greenfield or brownfield)

    • Ability to interpret:

      • System architecture diagrams

      • Network drawings

      • Control narratives
