    Job Description

    To consistently repair and maintain vehicles in a manner that will instill in the customer a high sense of confidence in the technician, the service department, the dealership, and the brand.

    Responsibilities

    • Testing to check whether systems and components are working properly

    • Isolating the systems or components that might have caused a problem.

    • Consulting with the Shop Foreman or Service Manager on all NPF situations

    • Driving the vehicle for testing purposes or using various equipment

    • Maintaining efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles

    • Repairing or replacing worn parts ahead of the vehicle’s breakdown or damage

    • Following a checklist in ensuring that, they examine each critical part of the vehicle

    • Clearly recording the repairs that were needed, the work that was performed and conditions that could not be duplicated on the repair order.

    • Ability to clearly explain the value of keeping the vehicle serviced as needed

    • Meet or exceed the dealership’s requirements for a technician’s efficiency, productivity, and proficiency

    • Attend all required dealership and brand training sessions

    • Always speak in a positive manner when discussing BMW, MINI Cooper, the dealership, fellow employees, or dealership policies when communicating with the customer or their representatives.

    • Knows and follows all federal, state, and local laws that govern automobile repair

    Qualifications

    • 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred

    • Must have valid State Inspection and Emissions Licenses

    • High school diploma or equivalent

    • B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair

    • Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination

    • Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment

    • Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies

    • Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve

    • Enjoy working in a dynamic environment

    • Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively

    • Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications

    • Valid driver's license -clean driving record and criminal background check
