    Role: Crew Support and CDL Driver (dump truck, vac truck and/or non-CDL trucks)

    Reports to: Crew lead & Fleet Manager for vehicle/equipment

    SUMMARY A CDL Dump truck/Vac truck operator is responsible for operating and maintaining a specialized vehicle called a vacuum truck, also known as a jet-vac or simply vac truck as well as Dump trucks and non-CDL vehicles. The vac truck is used to remove non-hazardous materials, such as sewage, liquids, sludges, and debris, from various places like sewers, tanks, and underground (under buildings). The dump truck is used to haul dirt/fill and bring new fill ie, gravel to jobs and pull trailers to the jobsite.

    The job description for this role typically includes the following responsibilities:

    1. Operating the companies vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.

    2. Conducting pre/post-operational checks to ensure the truck is in good working condition.

    3. Setting up equipment and tools for each job and ensuring they are in good working order.

    4. Maneuvering the vehicle in tight areas, such as alleys, driveways, and construction sites.

    5. Adhering to all safety protocols and standards, including wearing personal protective equipment when needed.

    6. Disposing of fill and other materials in accordance with companies policy.

    7. Communicating with crew, leads, and management to ensure job tasks are completed effectively.

    8. Keeping detailed records and notifying fleet manager of any issues using software or by word of mouth of work performed, including maintenance needs and equipment problems.

    9. Performing routine checks on vehicle and communicating any issues in software and with fleet manager

    10. Following company policies and procedures, including operating the vehicle within specified speed limits.

    11. Work and Help support crew with outside/inside task as needed for the job, in order to increase matrix and efficiency. This may require you do other responsibilities of the job handed down from the crew lead, i.e. blowing rock, dig, working pot, running loader(s) etc.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENT

    · Staff are required to regularly use hand-eye-coordination with a variety of tools and material.

    · Staff may frequently lift 50lbs.

    · Staff are required to be in variety of position, including but not limiting to standing for long periods of time, climbing, kneeling, and executing frequent angles of reaching and bending outside or inside confined areas.

    · The environment may have loud machinery work (hearing impacts), exposure to weather, and potential hazards for vision; therefore, per regulations appropriate safety should be adhered.

    QUALIFICATIONS, MEASUREMENT, AND FLEXIBLE RESPONSIBILITIES

    Education / Experience Required:

    To do this job, r must have a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a tanker endorsement. They must also have a high school diploma or equivalent and relevant experience working with vacuum trucks or similar machinery. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are also essential.
