    TITLE: Lead Instructor

    DEPARTMENT: Operations

    GENERAL SUMMARY: The BODYBAR Pilates Lead Instructor (LI) is an ambassador of the BODYBAR member experience and method. The Lead is an integral part of studio success. This individual is the studio programming expert, ensures brand adherence, supports sales and instructor recruitment, builds community, and instructs daily classes. The role requires someone that is a fitness professional with management and leadership experience. Group instruction experience is required, Pilates experience is a plus.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    ● Teach approx 12-15 BODYBAR Pilates classes per week

    ● Provide excellent customer service and member experience

    ● Support development and management the instructor team with the Owner (recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and ongoing instructor evaluation and feedback)

    ● Collaborate with Studio Manager and the Owner to drive studio success

    ● Manage and develop class schedule based on client needs, ensure class subs are covered.

    ● Manage class related tasks in CRM (monitor waitlists, manually add people, run KPI reports)

    ● Assist with sales, member recruitment and member retention (class milestone gifts, member challenges, social events)

    ● Equipment management; preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, ordering replacement parts as needed, etc.

    EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

    ● Must have at least one of the following credentials:

    • Bachelor Degree in Exercise Science or related field
    • Certified personal trainer/group fitness instructor
    • Pilates certification
    • BODYBAR Instructor Certification

    ● Minimum 1 year in the fitness industry experience

    ● Minimum 1 year management experience in fitness or related field

    ● Proficient with Google Suites including Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meet, Calendar, Gmail

    ● Proficient in the learning and use of new technologies (ClubReady experience a plus, though Bodybar CRM is different)

    ● Detailed oriented and organized

    ● Strong oral & written communication skills

    Additional Details:

    This position is paid by the hour and is comprised of 12-15 hours of instruction / week plus 10-15 hours of administrative duties per week for a total of 22-30 hours weekly (TBD). The hourly pay rate for instruction and administrative work is different.
