For our clientele, we believe in guiding through difficult as well as good times, preserving their peace of mind, meeting their legal needs, and realizing their business or personal goals. Most of our cases entail an international component, being either the litigants, the documentation, or the law. We are looking for an attorney who can hit the ground running to give our clients outstanding representation. This is a position for an experienced attorney who is capable, competent, and confident in handling a caseload with considerable autonomy while working with an excellent legal team. Compensation is flexible and commensurate with experience and competence. The salary plan includes a base wage as well as production and performance bonuses. We offer a full hour and a reduced hour schedule. We also pay for authorized voluntary bar memberships, ongoing legal education, and bar dues. Benefits: • Paid vacation • Malpractice insurance • Paid mandatory Florida Bar dues • Provide CLE on point • Tobacco-free, vape-free, drug-free workplace Responsibilities: • Achieve or exceed the position's key performance metrics • Conduct client meetings to recommend strategies on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action • Record the time and value that you delivered to clients to review what worked and what didn’t and what you can improve upon in the future • Attend court hearings or other legal proceedings, perform legal research, and work with senior associate attorneys to provide legal advice • Develop a legal strategy based on each client's goals, the facts of the case, and applicable law • Distribute tasks to paralegals and legal assistants and monitor their progress while remaining fully responsible for the final result and meeting all deadlines • Generate letters and legal papers for contract negotiations and actions, such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, depositions, and settlement agreements Qualifications: • Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school • Solid communication skills and problem-solving skills are required in order to work with clients, staff members, and our clients • Membership in good standing with the Florida Bar • Must have a proven track record of experience practicing as an attorney (min. 5 years). • Awareness and understanding of the criteria for privacy and confidentiality requirements • Strong knowledge of laws and procedures to perform legal research and develop case strategy • Proven courtroom experience (min. 2 years in courtroom, and 5 years experience in litigation) • Willing to travel for Court and depositions if necessary • Willing and able to work a minimum of billable hours and more some weeks when required • Ability to project confidence and competence while representing our clients in the courtroom • Punctual and reliable with a strong commitment to character, integrity, and work ethic • Driven self-starter • Proficient computer skills, including extensive experience in MS Word/Excel/Outlook, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and the Florida E-filing Portal • Ability and flexibility necessary to work at a growing firm • Exceptional communication skills needed to work with all levels of staff and our clients
