  • Responsibilities

    Job Duties:

    Provide program support to eligibility staff; perform a variety of tasks required for the completion of financial assistance applications and re-determination for continued assistance.

    Representative Work Functions and Responsibilities

    • Provide a variety of support tasks to assist eligibility workers with telephone coverage, routine correspondence, filing, maintenance of case records, etc.
    • Prepare and file required records, reports and related data using accepted methods and basic mathematical skills.
    • Conduct face to face interviews and assist customers in completing required forms using good interpersonal skills and interviewing techniques.
    • Contribute to good public relations through prompt, courteous attention to customers, co-workers and the general public.
    • Plan, organize, and prioritize daily tasks by accepting directions from supervisor and co-workers.
    • Complete basic mathematical computations using calculator skills.

    Minimum Qualifications • High school or GED plus two (2) years’ experience in fields providing the required knowledge, skills, and abilities; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. • Must have a current and valid driver’s license. Special Requirements All employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies.
