    Job Description:

    We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented EMG Technician to join our medical team. The EMG Technician will be responsible for performing electromyography (EMG) tests on patients, accurately recording findings, reporting to Physician and uploading completed reports to patient charts. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a compassionate approach to patient care.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Perform electromyography (EMG) tests on patients as directed by physicians.
    2. Prepare patients for EMG procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns or questions.
    3. Administer electromyography (EMG) tests according to established protocols.
    4. Record and interpret test results accurately, ensuring precision and attention to detail.
    5. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
    6. Maintain and calibrate EMG equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
    7. Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the testing process, monitoring for any adverse reactions or complications.
    8. Educate patients on the purpose and potential outcomes of EMG testing.
    9. Upload completed EMG reports to patients' electronic medical records (EMR) or charts promptly and accurately.
    10. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
    11. Assist in scheduling patient appointments and managing clinic workflow as needed.
    12. Provide support and assistance to physicians and other team members as required.

    Qualifications:

    1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., healthcare, physiology, biology) preferred.
    2. Certification as an EMG Technician or equivalent credentialing preferred.
    3. Prior experience performing electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction studies (NCS) strongly preferred.
    4. Proficiency in operating EMG equipment and software systems.
    5. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
    6. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy in recording and interpreting test results.
    7. Compassionate demeanor and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
    8. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment, seeing approximately 10-12 patients per day.
    9. Understanding of medical terminology and basic principles of neurophysiology.
    10. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and proficiency in computer skills.
    11. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and patient needs.
    12. Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining patient confidentiality.
