Responsibilities:

· Rooming patients, patient intake, vitals, past medical history and medication reconciliation; data entry into eCW medical record

· Assist Physician and Nurse Practitioners in exam rooms as needed

· Administering intramuscular injections

· Drawing up injections for physicians as needed

· Give instructions or relay messages to patients as instructed by physician

· Ensure all related reports, labs and information are filed and available in patients’ medical records prior to their appointment

· Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies

· Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls

· All other duties as assigned or delegated by physicians, or practice administrator

Knowledge:

· Healthcare field and medical specialty

· Medical terminology, grammar, spelling, and punctuation

· Knowledge of eCW electronic medical record

Skills

· Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette

· Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow

· The ability to administer injections

Education

· High school diploma

· Medical assistant certification

Experience:

Medical Assistant: 1 year (Required)
