    Summary: Fambran Enterprises is an established private single-family office in Overland Park, KS specializing in investment management, accounting operations, tax management, property management, education, philanthropy, and concierge services. We are seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) who will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and manage a small team of employees and outsourced providers. The COO will successfully execute strategic initiatives and have hands-on responsibility for the leadership of all functions.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Oversee daily operations of the company.
    • Develop and implement strategic initiatives.
    • Oversee tax compliance with outsourced provider for numerous LLCs, trusts and individuals.
    • Oversee all accounting operations including budgeting, accounting, reporting, invoicing, and bill pay.
    • Oversee insurance and risk management for office and family members.
    • Act as treasury liaison for companies and family members.
    • Oversee investment performance reporting including commitments, contributions, distributions, IRRs, etc.
    • Oversee IT services for office and key family members.
    • Oversee banking and brokerage relationships regarding account maintenance, debt, covenant reporting, etc.
    • Oversee legal and regulatory compliance regarding setting up and terminating companies, business licenses, maintaining and protecting single family office exemption, etc.
    • Manage relationships with vendors/partners including service providers, brokers, and others.
    • Manage HR and payroll function with assistance of outside service providers.
    • Manage client relationships and facilitate onboarding of new family clients.
    • Facilitate the growth of family cohesion through legacy, philanthropy, and education.

    Education/Experience:

    • Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance/Economics, or related field.
    • Ability to handle all functions independently with prior hands-on knowledge.
    • Experience in a single-family office setting preferred, but not required.
    • Familiarity with EOS business management philosophy preferred, but not required.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at a senior level as well as staff level.
    • Strong project management experience to lead process change.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, as well as accounting software and investment reporting systems.
    • A “big picture” view with the ability to dig in and ensure details are handled.
    • CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred, but not required.

    Certificates and Licenses:

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    Directly supervises 1-3 employees, with likelihood of team size increasing. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training of employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    The salary for this position starts at $205,000 plus benefits. Pay is negotiable based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position will operate out of Fambran’s office in Overland Park, KS.
