We are seeking a Pavement Maintenance Technician (PMT) Crew Lead for our Hampton Roads crew.

As the PMT Crew Lead, you will perform a wide variety of projects for various clients across the city. This is a seasonal position that begins mid-April and continues through November. Working hours are 30+ hours per week with some weekends and overtime work required. Overnight positions are available Sunday through Thursday.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Use equipment to perform line painting, asphalt crack-filling and sealcoating, power washing, epoxy flooring and more

Plan and facilitate the production of a high-quality project

Communicate job status daily with the Operations Manager

Supervise the PMT’s (3-4 person team)

Work with OP’s Manager to keep equipment maintained

Ensure all required materials and equipment are ready/loaded for jobs

Be able to come up with solutions quickly to any issues that arise on the job site/with PMT’s and clients

Maintain a safe, hazard-free job site

Additional tasks as required

WHAT YOU BRING

A VA driver’s license with a clean driving record (Driver’s Abstract is required) and a reliable mode of transportation

2+ years experience managing a crew (references required)

You are self-motivated, critical thinker that likes to problem solve

You understand the importance of punctuality, organization and attention to detail

Ability to work in a physically demanding role with lots of walking, bending and lifting (up to 75lbs)

Ability to work well independently unsupervised

Past experience with small engines (like lawnmowers) and/or paint sprayers

Previous experience in this field/industry of 2+ years required
