Utility Worker BRT Extrusions Paint Department

Overview:

BRT Extrusions, located in Niles, OH, is interviewing for 10 utility workers to join our expanding and fast paced paint department. This is midnight shift position. Generally, the schedule will be midnight to 8am, but OT will be required at times, and that schedule would generally be 10pm to 8am. This would change as business fluctuates.

The wage is $15.35/hour with $1.65/hour differential for working on the night shift.

($15.35 + $1.65 = $17)

Essential duties of The Utility Worker in Paint:

Must come to work as scheduled and on time – if you can commit to this, please apply!

Lifting metal out of a rack.

Placing metal on a table to be hung on a paint hook.

Lifting metal off the table to put in a rack after it has been painted.

Changing paint hooks on the line for specific die shapes.

Work at a fast pace most of the shift.

Move product and/or materials manually as required.

Comply with Company policies including, but not limited to, all safety policies.

May be asked to work as a Utility Worker in other departments as needed. Must be flexible. (There is no night differential for working on the day shift)

Requirements for The General Utility Worker:

Must maintain good attendance and commit to/work your schedule.

1 Year manufacturing experience with good attendance is a plus.

1 Year fast food experience a plus with good attendance is a plus.

Must be 18 years of age to work in the plant.

Must be able to work varying shifts as needed

Must have ability to read and understand basic instructions in English.

Must have the ability to communicate verbally and in writing.

Must be willing to move to different departments as needed.

Physical requirements:

This position requires the individual to work in a factory/manufacturing environment. The temperatures can fluctuate from hot to cold and the noise level is high. An individual in this role will be able to walk, bend, stoop, twist, turn, climb, and push/pull frequently. An individual in this role will need to be aware of movement and/or noises around them at all times. An individual in this role must move 25lbs frequently and up to 50lbs occasionally. An individual in this role will remain stationary and/or move about the factory as needed per essential duties of the position. An individual in this role will be an effective communicator verbally and in writing, and this role requires individuals to read and follow written procedures.
