Electrical Test & Sustaining Engineer
Manufacturing / Electronics Environment
We are seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineer to support production, testing, and sustaining engineering efforts within a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment. This role bridges Engineering and Production, ensuring high product quality, efficient processes, and smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with Engineering and Production teams to drive efficient, high-quality manufacturing processes
Test and validate hardware and firmware prior to production release
Develop, maintain, and improve electronic test stations and automated test equipment
Create and maintain production test documentation and revision controls
Troubleshoot daily production issues and provide technical support on the floor
Perform electrical and physical failure analysis on field returns; identify root causes and implement corrective actions
Support sustaining engineering activities, including component obsolescence management and redesign efforts
Assist with product certifications (ETL, FCC, CE, RoHS, REACH)
Support quality initiatives and ensure compliance with manufacturing standards
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Strong experience analyzing analog and digital circuits
Proficient with oscilloscopes, meters, and electronic test equipment
Experience in electronics manufacturing (including SMT environments)
Familiar with automated test systems and LabVIEW development
Knowledge of ISO 9001 (quality) and ISO 27001 (information security) standards
Strong documentation, planning, and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
