Summer Camp Counselor
The SCC is responsible for providing high quality recreational, educational, and cultural experiences for participants. They will also be responsible for the general safety and development of participants. The Summer Camp Counselor will report to the Manager of Prevention Services. Duties and Responsibilities - Plan, prepare and facilitate activity plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning. - Use group management skills to engage all youth in daily activities. - Manage youth behavior by establishing guidelines, expectations, mutual respect, and mutual accountability. - Submit activity plans to the Program Manager on a weekly basis and/or as needed. - Collaborate with other programs within agency. Qualifications - High School Diploma or GED required - Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. - Proficient with technology systems with the ability to integrate technology into daily program operations and evaluation systems. - Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
