    Job Description

    Our client, a hospitality company in San Francisco, is looking for a Interim Lease Accounting Consultant to support their team. They have thousands of living spaces across the world, with stays ranging from a few days to a few years. This role will report into their Accounting Manager of Global Fixed Assets.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assist in re-reconciling updated leases under ASC 840.
    • Provide day-to-day accounting management (month-end, journal entries, recons, etc.)
    • Support 2020 Audit Prep
    • Support ad hoc requests from real estate team.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar
    • Prior experience in a complex lease accounting environment (840 or 842) – the more complex, the better!
    • Strong foundations in accounting, within a fast-paced, data-driven environment
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel Proficiency is required, including, but not limited to SumIfs and Index Match
    • NetSuite is nice to have, but not required
    • General tech-savviness, able to effectively engage on a project remotely
    • Strong communication, written and verbal, able to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders
    • Self-starting personality, willing to problem-solve and bring both questions and possible solutions to conversations
    • Strong team-player, working alongside others effectively and cohesively
