    Job Description

    Our client, an innovative diagnostics company located in the Peninsula Bay Area, is looking for a Finance Manager to join their team. At around $100M in revenue and plans to grow their headcount by 30% next year, the company is growing rapidly and is need of an individual skilled in business partnering and data analytics. they need someone that can manage the financial support for their Lab Products BU and own the full P&L. This role will report into the Associate Director of Finance and be heavily involved in business partnering. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Build relationships with Commercial heads of each region and the Head of Supply Chain to become a trusted finance partner to assist in accurate forecasting, supporting the S&OP process and ad-hoc analysis/reporting
    • Support planning, forecasting, consolidation and reporting (annually, quarterly and monthly) for the company’s Product Business 
    • Prepare monthly financial reviews across all regions and produce consolidated reporting packages that distill conclusions into actionable commentary suitable for executive management
    • Work closely with other members of the company FP&A team to prepare consolidated annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, monthly statements
    • Conduct variance analysis, outlining cause of change versus budget, forecast, and prior year, highlighting risks and opportunities for improvement
    • Develop an in-depth understanding of key business drivers of the business segment in order to prepare thoughtful analysis  
    • Publish and analyze weekly and monthly Key Performance Indicators, emphasizing best practices and performance gaps
    • Perform analyses to determine present and forecast future financial performance
    • Constantly drive process improvements and efficiencies in areas of financial planning, financial analysis, and production of reporting packages
    • Support implementation of new global financial planning and analysis systems

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
    • CPA, CMA or MBA preferred
    • 6+ years’ experience in Financial Planning and Analysis or related field
    • Experience in medical or diagnostics or biotechnology preferred 
    • Flexibility working across multiple time zones and in dynamic, fast-paced environment
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
    • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
    • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to think creatively, highly driven and self-motivated
    • Strong work ethic and ability and willingness to pivot on activities as new requests and priorities surface
    • The ideal candidate will feel comfortable working with large datasets and is well versed in methods for analysis of disparate data
    • Strong attention to detail with the ability to zoom out and provide executive summaries with key insights
