Job Description

BWW Law Group, LLC, an "AV" rated real estate law firm with offices located in Rockville, MD, Richmond and Arlington, VA and Irving, TX, is seeking a dynamic and motivated Bankruptcy Attorney to join our Bankruptcy team. THIS POSITION MAY BE LOCATED AT OUR ARLINGTON, VA OR ROCKVILLE, MD OFFICE. This position is full time. Attention to detail is a must to succeed as a part of our team!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• In addition to independent work, work may involve coordinating, planning, assigning, supervising, training and reviewing the work of assigned attorneys;
• Draft motions and other filings related to bankruptcy;
• Attend hearings and court appearances on behalf of the law firm;
• Communicate with clients, internal staff and others to ensure cases are handled appropriately;
• Review legal documents for form and correctness;
• Prioritize and manage an assigned portfolio of work with great attention to detail;
• Perform quality control reviews of staff work;
• Proficiency in inputting and maintaining information into a case management system to ensure data integrity;
• Work with leadership in the development and implementation of procedures. Supervisory role may require attorney to monitor and enforce policy compliance through coaching and discipline, when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• The ideal candidate is organized and detail oriented and a superior communicator (both oral and written communications are key to our practice), who is capable of multitasking effectively and who works well in a group or individually;
• MUST BE VA BARRED; Licensure in DC or MD is a plus;
• Minimum of two (2) years creditors’ rights experience is required;
• Experience managing a team of attorneys and staff is a plus.
