Numerical Control Machinists (Multiple Positions) - BWX Technologies, Inc. - Barberton, OH
We are currently seeking candidates to fill multiple positions in our machining department at our facility in Barberton, Ohio. The available positions may include operating CNC lathes, multi-axis CNC HBMs, Vertical Machining Centers, and VTLs.
Minimum Qualifications:
To excel in these roles, individuals must be able to perform each job duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant machining experience
Ability to identify and resolve issues while programs are running and demonstrate proficiency in writing/editing programs using G and M coded controls (experience with Siemens and Fanuc controls preferred).
Work with precision to achieve a tolerance of ±0.0005” and microfinish 16 when necessary
Utilize advanced mathematical and engineering principles to collaborate with tooling engineers in developing optimal tooling design and practices
Experience working with grinders, tool setters, jacks, clamps, bolts, shims, jigs, fixtures, angle plates, rules, micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, gages, levels, protractors, verniers, and light hand tools
Demonstrate the ability to maintain detailed records, complete process documentation, and other production records.
Pass all proficiency tests for the position
Be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship
Willingness to work on ANY shift
Successfully pass all pre-employment processes, including an extensive criminal background check, a physical examination and drug screen, verification of education and work history, and reference checks.
Pay rate: 35.016 per hour
