GENERAL SUMMARY
The BY YOUR SIDE Case Manager – ABA provides and oversees direct ABA Therapy to children ages 2-21 years old in the center and in-home environments. The Case Manager – ABA will implement skill acquisition programs and behavior management protocols under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The Case Manager – ABA cannot also be fulfilling job responsibilities as a Lead RBT.
The Case Manager – ABA is also responsible for overseeing clients receiving ABA Therapy for BY YOUR SIDE clients under the direction of the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The Case Manager – ABA is to provide case supervision and parent training with BCBA oversight. This position serves clients who are receiving Medicaid services.
The Case Manager – ABA operates in a professional and clinical environment. The employee may regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This position’s hours of work and days vary based on the needs of clients and business. Evening, weekend work and/or overtime may be required, as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Core duties and responsibilities include the following:
Responsible for direct implementation of therapeutic services to maintain BY YOUR SIDE’s high quality of care for clients and families.
· Target direct hour caseload is 0.
· Provide individual therapy to clients consistent with the treatment plan under the direction of the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) as needed.
· Provide coverage for clients (e.g., One Time Moves, waiting for staff to be hired) as needed.
· Interact effectively with clients, supervisors, families, and coworkers.
· Adhere to professional, ethical, and legal guidelines.
· Responsible for timely completion of all required documentation for maintaining RBT certification, meeting both BACB and company standards.
· Obtain ongoing supervision for a minimum of 5% of hours spent providing behavior-analytic services and at least two face-to-face contacts with their BCBA Supervisor per month.
· Participate in staff meetings and training provided to increase professional knowledge by attending in person, through video conferencing, and/or watching the recorded training(s).
· Completion of all assignments related to staff meetings and training (e.g., ABA meetings) by due date, including make-up assignments.
· Completion of daily activities/routines within the center (i.e., opening/closing procedures, cleaning, organization and creation of material, etc.).
· Collect data in Central Reach, write insurance note at the end of each session, and convert all appointments within a specified period of time as outlined by Medicaid and company policies.
· Assist with maintaining order and safety among the clients in the therapy environment.
· Assist other personnel with related tasks as may be required to support them in the completion of their work activities and enhance daily operations of the therapy center.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Responsible for supervisory activities for assigned caseload, under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
· Maintain targeted caseload hours of therapy per week (minimum of 90 hours) for Medicaid clients.
· Provide 10% direct supervision and 10% treatment planning per week for each client while maintaining timely professional documentation with BCBA oversight.
· Meet monthly requirements for parent training for each client while maintaining timely professional documentation, with BCBA oversight.
· BCBA Supervisor must be present for a minimum of 5% direct supervision and a minimum of 1 parent training session per month.
· Complete “Acceptable Activities” related to the BCBA/BCaBA Task List and as outlined in the BACB Monthly Experience Standards/Supervised Fieldwork Requirements.
· Assist with initial assessment and development of individual treatment plan under the supervision of a BCBA.
· Conduct quality case supervision, including designing behavioral programs, conducting skill acquisition re-assessments, updating individualized treatment plans, and conduct ongoing assessment of interventions with BCBA oversight.
· Develop and demonstrate case conceptualization, problem-solving, and decision-making regarding the client’s treatment plan, with BCBA oversight.
· Responsible for timely completion of all required client documentation, as outlined by Medicaid and company policies.
· Adhere to the current professional and ethical requirements, as outlined by the BACB.
· Engage in active communication with BCBA Supervisor about your experience and how it is progressing.
· Stay on top of graduate coursework material to acquire the foundational skills needed to gain the most from their supervision experience, if applicable.
· Follow the current experience/fieldwork requirements set in the BACB’s Experience Standards

· Completion of competencies listed in the supervision curriculum provided through BY YOUR SIDE, if applicable.

Qualifications
Include demonstrated competencies and physical, mental, & interpersonal skills.
· Completing or completed qualifying coursework toward BCBA/BCaBA certification.
· RBT certified.
· 1 year experience in related field.
· High interest in working with children on the autism spectrum.
· Completion of required competencies in the CSUN curriculum.
· Demonstrate mastery of skills outlined in the CSUN curriculum and receiving a passing score of skills assessed through Performance Monitoring Checklists.
· Meet the passing score in the Level 2 Intern Competency Assessment or completion of supervision hours toward BCaBA/BCBA certification.
· Ability to maintain quality, safety and infection control standards.
· Demonstration of effective oral and written communication skills and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work effectively and efficiently with changing priorities and deadlines.
· Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, execute on deadlines and produce high quality deliverables with attention to details.
· Must be fluent with LEARN in Central Reach
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, Word, Excel and Outlook.
· Uphold and maintain BYS core principles, policies and procedures.
