Babin Law, LLC is seeking an ambitious and passionate associate attorney with 5+ years experience in personal injury . The Firm practice primarily in the areas of mass torts, class actions, personal injury, and sex abuse. Babin Law, LLC is growing. Babin Law is currently building its personal injury practice. This is a tremendous opportunity for an experienced entrepreneurial attorney wanting to grow professional. There is significant room for growth and leadership in this position. And the firm is ready to invest in the practice area and the attorneys that are hired into it.
The ideal candidate will fit into the Firm’s culture. Our work is important--we work hard, but we do not take ourselves too seriously. People laugh at the office, and truly enjoy the work. That’s not we don’t produce excellent work—we do. Our attorneys serve in leadership positions on some of the largest cases in the country. We work as a team and help out when/where needed. In a perfect world, the candidate would have a small book of business, but it is not necessary.
The firm is hiring an associate attorney with 5+ years experience. Candidate qualifications include:
*Licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio.
*Strong academic credentials.
*Excellent research, legal writing, and communication skills.
*Desire to take on responsibility quickly, with a desire to grow in this role.
*Personal injury knowledge and experience In personal injury law (preferred experience handling PI case from intake to trial).
*Organized. Ability to help design and implement systematic processes and procedures. Ability to utilize case management software to maximize efficiency. Ability to create standard operating procedure, set KPIs, and prepare meaningful reporting for practice.
*Prepared for the unpredictability and time demands of litigation practice; manage multiple deadlines and projects at once, working both independently and on a team.
*Maintain positive relationships with colleagues, staff, clients, opposing attorneys, and court personnel.
The attorney will spend most of their time handling a docket of single event personal injury cases. The attorney will independent (with their staff) handle all aspects of litigation up to the eve of trial—investigation, discovery, defending and taking depositions, work with opposing counsel, negotiate settlement, motions practice, trial prep
Salary commensurate with experience. Benetfits include performance based bonus, bonus incentives for business generation on PI cases (% of fee), paid vacation, and health insurance. Salary: $90,000 to $175,000 /year, plus performance based on performance, plus discretionary bonuses.
