Job Details

Billing Medical Insurance for DME sleep apnea appliances

Record keeping and data submission

Verify patient insurance eligibility prior to appointments

Gather and record all patient and physician records needed to support medical authorizations and insurance claims

Initiate submit and follow up on medical insurance preauthorizations to obtain approval

Initiate submit and follow up on medical insurance claims to obtain payment in full

Accurately calculate and record insurance benefits and estimatied patient co-insurance and deductibles to be collected

Accurately record and communicate to the Sleep Team all patient preauthorization and insurance benefit information

Accurately record and communicate to the Sleep Team patient status and treatment plan acceptance

Maintain Excel spreadsheets

Accurately record maintain and send daily reconciliation reports

Prepare and submit patient registration information and paperwork

Ensure all protocols and process are being followed

All follow up communications with patients and physicians and insurance companies

Scheduling patient appointments for multiple locations

Promote the practice in all conversations with patients and physicians and insurance companies

Flexibility to work between both practices in West Babylon and Patchogue to collaborate with the Sleep Team

Qualifications

Upbeat energetic friendly personality

Reliable and articulate

Team oriented

Must be organized and detail oriented

High follow through

Ability to calculate percentages accurately and quickly using basic math skills

Medical insurance billing experience

Experience maintaining Excel spreadsheets

Ambitious with a desire to continually learn
