Job Description

As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will be a key member of the Platform Engineering team, developing the core product interfaces powered by our machine learning algorithms and natural language technology. You will partner with product managers and other engineers to realize our ambitious vision to help our customers understand the ever-growing sea of information they care about.

Our software crunches through the data to help our customers understand the world around them -- whether it is a stock they are tracking or an emerging geo-political event in a far flung part of the world. Our customers include analysts at some of the world’s largest corporations, financial institutions, and government agencies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with design and product to build functional and delightful product experiences
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Invest in making our UI platform scalable and our teams productive

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong knowledge of core JavaScript, React, Redux, and HTML5 / CSS3
• Deep knowledge of front-end build tools for validation, transpilation, and bundling (ESLlint, webpack, Babel, etc.)
• Experience building and deploying a single-page application for public use
• Experience developing and maintening SaaS products
• Proficiency writing unit and integration tests
• 5+ years of professional frontend development

MAJOR PLUSES

• Strong understanding of UX and Design fundamentals
• Experience with d3.js
• Expertise in tuning web performance
• Knowledge of web serving architecture (e.g. CDNs, caching, load balancers)
