Water Street Bagel Co. is looking for a Back of the House Supervisor to join our team! We are looking for someone to play a key role in leading, training, and working alongside our amazing staff! This person should be a hands-on leader who will be on the line, ready to assist with operations, maintain and foster a positive and productive work environment while also maintaining the high standards that make our bagels so great. Immediate start available!

Key Responsibilities:

• Help Train and support staff: Guide team members on proper techniques, food safety, and company standards to ensure consistent, top-notch service.

• Hands-on operations: Work on the line next to staff members while providing training and guidance.

• Maintain efficiency: Lead by example to ensure smooth kitchen operations, uphold cleanliness standards, and maintain a productive work environment.

• Problem-solving: Address customer or team concerns quickly and professionally. Implement solutions for challenges related to production, quality, or customer satisfaction.

• Team leadership: Foster a positive, collaborative, and hardworking atmosphere that encourages growth and teamwork.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in a high-volume kitchen (supervisory experience is required)

• Weekends and early mornings are REQUIRED, 6:15 am start times

• Skilled in operating kitchen equipment, especially flat tops, slicers, and ovens.

• Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills & the ability to stay calm under pressure.

• A hands-on, team-first mindset with the ability to lead and inspire others, always leading with a team-first attitude.
