    Greetings,

    iQuasar LLC is seeking a highly skilled Backend Developer with a strong specialization in Data Engineering. The role involves building and optimizing backend systems that handle large-scale data processing, storage, and integration. This is a 100% remote independent contractor role, providing flexibility while contributing to mission-critical DoD objectives. Candidates must hold an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility (or higher).

    Position: Backend Developer

    Location: Remote

    Clearance: Top Secret with SCI eligibility (or higher)

    Responsibilities

    Design, develop, and optimize backend data pipelines and ETL processes.

    Integrate structured and unstructured data sources into scalable backend systems.

    Implement data models, APIs, and services to support advanced analytics and mission operations.

    Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with DoD standardsCollaborate with data scientists, analysts, and DevOps teams to deliver reliable data solutions.

    Qualifications

    Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility or higher.

    Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala for backend and data processing.

    Experience with data engineering tools and frameworks (Apache Kafka, Spark, Hadoop, Flink, etc.).

    Proficiency with databases (SQL, NoSQL, graph) and data modeling techniques.

    Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS Redshift, Azure Data Lake, GCP BigQuery).

    Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

    Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
