Job Summary:
United Backflow, a veteran-owned company, is seeking a skilled Backflow Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a current Backflow Certification, experience in testing, inspection, maintenance, and repair of water system valves. If you are a detail-oriented individual with a passion for protecting public water systems, we want to hear from you.
Duties: Testing, Maintenance, Repair, and Replacement of Backflow valves
Interact with customers and coworkers courteously and professionally
Conduct inspection to identify issues and ensure compliance with backflow code
Driving to Commercial and Residential customer locations across Maryland, Northern VA and Southern PA
Identify valve styles, functions, labeling and schematics to determine system layout
Utilize gauges and hand tools
Collaborate with contractor crews on-site as needed
Provide technical assistance and training to other employees as needed
Perform heavy lifting as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
Current Certification in Backflow, plumbing experience, or active relevant role, such as Valve Technician
High School Diploma or GED Certificate
Must have the ability to effectively read, write and communicate in English with employees and customers
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications
Apprentice Plumber
Several years of experience with valves and piping systems
OSHA or related safety certifications

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
