    What is a Process Server?

Process servers deliver legal documents to the named clients or defendants in legal proceedings, including court summons, subpoenas, complaints, private lawsuits, and other court dealings. They are responsible for delivering the documents while abiding by state and federal laws. Process servers may deal with distraught or aggressive recipients of documents, so some caution is needed for this job.

Montana requires process servers to be licensed and bonded. We will assist in getting you licensed.

Bail bondsmen, or bail bond agents, lend bail money to defendants in exchange for a percentage of the bail amount. They can work independently as professional bondsmen or with the backing of an insurance company as surety bondsmen. We are partnered with Bad Boy Bail Bonds and provide statewide bail bonds in Montana.

Do Process, Inc. is ready to hire process servers and bondsman! With new expansion to Bozeman, our workload is rapidly increasing. You must have a clear background and a car. Excellent customer service is required. Weekends, evenings, and holidays may be required. Please do not apply if you are not available to work these hours.

All individuals who do more than 10 services of process in a calendar year must obtain a license through the Montana Board of Private Security enabling them to process serve. This license also enables process servers to act as a levying officer.

The regulatory body for Montana bail bond agents is the State Auditor’s Commissioner of Securities and Insurance (CSI). Stipulated as part of the Montana bail bondsmen license requirements, you must become registered as an individual insurance producer with the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR).
