Summary:

The Buyer assists in purchasing materials, supplies and services at the most favorable terms for Badger Color Concentrates, Inc while contributing directly the the organizations goals and objectives.

Essential Duties:

· Prepare and send purchase orders to approved vendors.

· Manage and review raw material needs to support production demand.

· Expedite / de-expedite materials based on production demand / schedule.

· Communicate and report supplier performanc metrics and drive performance improvements in supply base.

· Manage inventories on Raw Materials. Ensure inventory data is correct and up to date in Badger Color’s ERP system.

· Manage and reconcile receiving and invoicing issues.

· Work with logistics providers to ensure on-time delivery of purchased goods.

· Collaborate with production planning, global sourcing, and suppliers on problem-solving activities.

· Perform system duties with order confirmations, updated pricing, or vendor approval.

· Perform cycle count postings as needed.

· Performs other related duties as requested.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Experience with computerized inventory systems is required.

· Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in the associated functional area.

· Experience in Chemicals, Compounding, Plastics, or Composition style manufacturing preferred.

· Forklift operator certification is preferred.

· Excellent communication skills with warehouse workers and the purchasing department.

· Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.

· Prior experience working with Inventory Management Systems.

· Experience with KPIs and Metrics Management.

· Proficient keyboarding skills.

· Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision.

· Ability to perform basic math calculations.
