    Position Summary

    Bakelite Chemicals is seeking an ERP system administrator to fill a key position as a member of the IT team responsible for the Bakelite Chemicals Infor M3 ERP. As a member of the Bakelite Chemicals ERP team, you will work on a small dynamic team charged with support and leading value creating technology initiatives. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working on a very dynamic, cross functional team where they are expected to use their initiative, judgment, and sense of urgency enhance, support and monitor the ERP solution. A strong performer in this role will demonstrate the following:

    The ERP system administrator is primarily responsible for the following:  

    • Maintain a compliant, secure, reliable, and highly available server environment for a business critical ERP (Infor M3 ERP and integrated systems)
    • Proactively monitor system performance and respond to performance issues in a timely fashion 
    • Apply patches and upgrades to ERP environments and educate stakeholders on the changes 
    • Assist developers with project activities including system consultation and project execution
    • Serve as subject matter expert of Infor technologies for the IT organization 
    • Plan, implement, and maintain disaster recovery solutions
    • Maintain system documentation 
    • Coordinate third party vendor support, providing updates and metrics

     

     

    What You Will Need:   

    Basic Qualifications: 

    • At least 2 years of experience supporting server technology in a virtualized, business critical environment including:  
    • Microsoft Windows Server 
    • Microsoft SQL Server 
    • Microsoft IIS 
    • TCP/IP Networking 
    • Experience with backup and recovery planning and implementation

     

    What Will Put You Ahead? 

    Preferred Qualifications: 

    • Experience supporting Infor M3 ERP 
    • Experience supporting StreamServe 
    • Experience supporting Infor Smart Office 
    • Experience supporting Infor ION  
    • Experience setting up and maintaining Infor M3 ERP security  
    • Experience with disaster recovery planning, implementation and testing 
    • Experience with VMWare 
    • Experience implementing the Infor M3 ERP application 
    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology discipline (CS, MIS, CIS, etc.)
