Bake’n Joy has an immediate need for a fun sweets-loving and ambitious full-time machine operator responsible for setting up, operating and maintain various machines to ensure production runs efficiently.

Essential Job Duties:

• Understanding of all safety rules and procedures and maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Setup of machines to start a production cycle. Verify packaging matches product specifications.
• Control and adjust the functions and settings of machines (i.e. speed, weights etc). Report any malfunctions to group leader or supervisor.
• Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of products to standards.
• Ensure the quality of all finished products. Pay specific attention to color, consistency, aroma, texture etc and report any issues to group leader or supervisor.
• Fill out all daily paperwork and fill lab samples as required.
• Experience with operating material handling equipment including electric pallet jacks or manual hand jacks is a plus.

Bake’n Joy is a family-owned bakery that has operated for the past 80 years. Bake’n Joy is in North Andover, MA and provides a variety of products for professional bakers including frozen scoop batters, pre-deposited muffin, cornbread, loaf and cookie batters, Boston Coffee Cakes, mixes as well as an expanding line of fully baked items such as coffee cakes, loaf cakes and more.

About You:

We are looking for someone with a high school education or equivalent, strong organizational and communication skills and two to three years of machine operator experience is preferred. Training in manufacturing practices, basic allergen handling, wash down procedures, food defense and HACCP are preferred but willing to train for the right person. Candidate must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be willing and able to work varying shifts and schedules. Within this position you must have the ability to stand and walk on concrete floor for prolonged periods with a frequent bending, lifting and twisting for extended periods and the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
