    About the Role

    K Brew is expanding our in-house baking program, and we're looking for dependable, detail-oriented Bakers to help craft the products we're known for — our signature bagels. As a Baker, you'll play a core role in mixing, shaping, and baking bagels for all K Brew locations.

    This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on, physical work, and being part of a tight-knit production team. No professional baking experience is required — if you love working with dough and want to grow into a skilled baker, we'll train you step by step.

    Responsibilities

    Bagel Dough Production

    • Mix bagel dough according to standardized recipes and production schedules.

    • Portion, shape, and proof dough with consistency and attention to detail.

    • Monitor dough texture, hydration, and fermentation times throughout the shift.

    • Maintain accurate logs for batches, timing, and recipe scaling.

    Baking & Finishing

    • Perform baking processes, ensuring proper texture, color, and consistency.

    • Apply toppings and finishes with accuracy and speed.

    • Load, rotate, and unload ovens safely and efficiently.

    • Cool, organize, and store finished bagels for delivery.

    Production & Team Support

    • Set up and break down production stations daily.

    • Assist with preparing and organizing ingredients, tools, and equipment.

    • Follow all cleaning routines to maintain a spotless production environment.

    • Communicate clearly with fellow bakers, delivery drivers, and café teams to support production flow.

    Quality & Safety

    • Maintain high standards of product quality, consistency, and freshness.

    • Ensure all food safety and sanitation practices are followed at every step.

    • Keep equipment, mixers, tools, and ovens in clean and working order.

    Qualifications

    • Interest in baking and working with dough; previous home or professional experience is a bonus but not required.

    • Strong work ethic, reliability, and a desire to grow into a skilled baker.

    • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks (kneading, lifting dough trays, loading ovens).

    • Attention to detail and ability to follow processes consistently.

    • Positive, team-oriented attitude and good communication skills.
