The Community Resource Specialist has a very dynamic role within the agency. This position requires someone who has a high level of comfort working outside of the office and in different environments. Develops and maintains center membership base and nurtures relationships for volunteer opportunities. This position requires working closely with clients one-on-one and with other departments to offer deliverables to various audiences. Oversees program attendance and enrollment, evaluations, subcontractor invoicing, and instructor training. Creates and distributes membership and instructor packets. Develops and implements outreach strategies in the community. Provides information and referral. Collects and inputs fees and client data. CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Coordinate program enrollment for members * Coordinate and manage comprehensive communication system with members to keep them informed of center programs, services, events and updates * Coordinate and manage the renewal of memberships * Promote the center in the community to recruit members. Activities include speaking at various outreach events; creating, translating and distributing flyers; social media; partnerships with various community organizations and entities; and creating and translating newsletter/calendar * Manage centers account, to include instructors payouts, donation allocation, bank deposits, fee collection, and requisitions and check requests * Recruit and coordinate volunteers, and create volunteer opportunities * Coordinate and manage Food Fairs and Senior Commodity Box (where applicable) * Work with Program Coordinator to implement center-wide events and fundraisers * Facilitate all area monthly service providers meetings * Other duties as assigned MINIMUM EDUCATION: * Associates Degree YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: * 1 to 2 years experience preferred or 3 to 5 years relevant experience with high school diploma CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: * Valid Texas Drivers License with appropriate insurance coverage and ability to travel throughout the city * CPR and First Aid certification required within 60 days post hire SKILLS: * Excellent spoken and written communication skills * Excellent interpersonal skills * Familiarity with community resources. * Willing to work flexible schedule, to include some evenings and weekends as needed. * Willing to work outside of the office and in different environments at agency events * Experience using the Asset Based Community Development Approach and/or Appreciative Inquiry a plus. * Knowledge of TDPRS requirements regarding licensed school-age care programs.
