    Job Title: Bilingual HR Assistant

    Reports to: HR Director

    Hours: M-F, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm

    FLSA Status: Non-exempt (hourly)

    Pay rate: $16-$17 per hour

    Job Summary:
    We are seeking an energetic, highly organized and detail-oriented Bilingual HR Assistant to join our team. The role will primarily be responsible for providing administrative support to our Human Resources department and assisting with various HR functions in a bilingual environment. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish and a strong understanding of HR practices and processes. The Bilingual HR Assistant will work closely with other HR professionals to ensure smooth operations of HR activities, while maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

    Responsibilities:
    - Assist with recruitment efforts, including creating job postings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks for bilingual candidates
    - Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding process, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner
    - Conduct employee orientations in both English and Spanish, explaining company policies and procedures, benefits, and answering any related questions
    - Maintain and update employee records, such as personal information, performance evaluations, leave of absence documentation, and other confidential HR documents
    - Assist in processing ensuring accuracy of employee data, timesheets, time off requests, and deductions
    - Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and terminations
    - Prepare and maintain HR reports, such as headcount, turnover, and training metrics
    - Participate in maintaining compliance with HR policies, procedures, and legal requirements, including assisting with audits and investigations when necessary
    - Respond to employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR-related matters, ensuring excellent customer service and timely resolution
    - Assist with the coordination of training and development initiatives, including scheduling training sessions and tracking attendance
    - Assist with performance management activities, such as documenting performance improvement plans and coordinating performance reviews
    - Collaborate with HR and cross functional teams on special projects and initiatives as assigned. Works with other department heads and leaders to promote a positive culture.

    -Serves as the main point of contact for visitors, vendors and applicants. Responsible for first impression and answering phones.

    Requirements:
    - High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
    - 1-2 years of experience in HR or administrative role, preferably in a bilingual environment
    - Fluency in English and Spanish is essential, both written and verbal
    - Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations
    - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    - Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    - Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
    - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels
    - Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Highly dedicated, reliable and punctual.
    - Knowledge of HRIS systems and experience with payroll processing software is a plus
    - SHRM certification or other HR certifications will be considered an asset.
