    Job Summary:

    Seeking a detail-oriented, thorough, and insightful cost controller to work collaboratively with the rest of the Finance team and the various department managers to analyze costs, assess product margins, and identify areas for profitability improvement. To succeed in this position, the ideal candidate will demonstrate an aptitude for efficiency, problem-solving, and resourcefulness, with a deep commitment to the bottom line without compromising reliability and accuracy.

    Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

    • Support the activities of the corporate and local accounting department for the accurate and timely preparation of periodic financial management reports.
    • Support the annual budget process and related quarterly forecasts by working with all departments to forecast, track and communicate accurately all operating costs.
    • Monitors and verifies accounts by reconciling transactions, resolving discrepancies and analyzing spending variances.
    • Support the Cost Accounting functions preparing KPI reporting (i.e. Scrap, GM) and monitoring unit cost variance.
    • Support annual physical inventory process and accuracy.
    • Participate in a wide variety of special and interdepartmental projects.
    • Communicate with co-workers, management and others in a courteous and professional manner.
    • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.

    Core Competencies:

    • Financial Accounting.
    • Cost Accounting.
    • Experience in Manufacturing and/or Plastic Injection facility a plus.
    • Ethical Conduct.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficient in MS office and good knowledge of relevant software and database.
    • Good communication and organizational skills.
    • Familiarity with corporate reporting requirements.
    • Multi-tasking ability in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
    • Professional and friendly.

    Education and/or Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
    • 1-5 years’ experience in accounting or finance.
    • Experience with financial reporting requirements preferably at the corporate level.

    Physical Demands:

    • Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
    • Largely a sedentary role.
    • The ability to lift files and boxes up to 20 lbs., open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.

    Personal Protective Equipment:

    • Safety glasses on the production floor.

    Work Environment:

    • clerical office setting.

    Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Salary: $65,000.00 to $80,000.00 /hour
