    Taylor University is seeking applications of candidates for PUBLICITY AND OUTREACH ASSISTANT in the MUSIC, THEATRE AND DANCE (MTD) DEPARTMENT.  This is a  PART-TIME, 9 MONTH, NON-EXEMPT position located in Upland, Indiana.  Resumes will be accepted until position is filled.      

     

    MISSION STATEMENT:    The mission of Taylor University is to develop servant leaders marked with a passion to minister Christ's redemptive love and truth to a world in need.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:     

    1. PUBLICITY: Produce publicity for all music unit events - both on and off campus, using a variety of media and sources such as Facebook, news releases, and TU website. (Faculty, Performer or Ensemble director submits factual information and write brief description of the event--submitting it in enough time needed for publishing).
    2. COORDINATE THE DETAILS INVOLVED WITH OFF-CAMPUS ENSEMBLE PERFORMANCES AND TOURS : contact potential concert hosts and work out contract details, establish a detailed itinerary, stay in touch with hosts to make sure all details are communicated and questions are answered as they come up; create and distribute publicity; create a printed program; secure transportation, housing, meals, and event tickets; prepare and submit required university trip and meal forms for students' signatures and other required information, gather passports and make copies if necessary and prepare a notebook for director.
    3. MTD PROGRAMS: produce programs for the music unit concerts
    4. MTD POSTERS FOR FACULTY AND ENSEMBLE CONCERTS (with suggestions and info developed by Faculty)
    5. REQUESTS FOR ENTERTAINMENT—securing faculty, staff, or students for Alumni, Administrative and other campus requests for entertainment at dinner, or meetings and arrange payment.
    6. RESPONSIBLE FOR BUILDING AESTHETICS AND BULLETIN BOARD CONTENT.

    CLINICIAN JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • MSW, M.Ed, MS in Counseling, Human Services, or related degree required
    • Independent Clinical License preferred; LICSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT
    • One year experience in Human Services preferred
    • Must have valid driver’s license
    • Must meet Agency requirements for driving history records
    • Must meet Agency requirements for CORI/SORI background checks
    • Understanding/willingness to be part of a Program that supports youth and families 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.
    • Must have drivers license and availability of vehicle to support Program needs.
    • BI-LINGUAL SPANISH/ENGLISH ENCOURAGED TO APPLY
