      POSITION SUMMARY: 

    In collaboration with the Pursuit Manager, Ballard's Marketing Manager will work closely with the Major Projects Group on a broad range of critical, strategic company-wide marketing initiatives and nationwide pursuits. With exceptional customer service and leadership skills, for both internal and external clients, candidate will support all home office departments and regional offices with marketing initiatives and support.  This role is considered integral to the long-term growth and success of the company and requires a driven and passionate candidate who is energized to work with a strong team.

    EXPERIENCE AND EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum ten years’ experience working as a Marketing Manager, Coordinator, Specialist, or similar role producing marketing material and/or custom proposals for public and private sector clients and 2 years as a marketing manager preferred
    • BS or BA degree in Marketing, Business, English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field. Equivalent education experience
    • Architectural, Engineering, or Construction industry experience required

    SKILLS:

    • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast pace, growing and advancing environment. Candidate must have the desire to grow with the business as this position is considered incredibly strategic to the success of the company.
    • Proficient with a wide range of software including Adobe Creative suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Canva, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Acrobat
    • Excellent formatting, writing/editing, graphic layout and production, and efficient/timely production of materials
    • Ability to display proposal information to highlight points of differentiation while in compliance with RFP requirements
    • Demonstrated graphic design skills

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Partner with Business Development teams to strategize, develop, and maintain critical marketing material, and eBlast campaigns.
    • Manage, organize, and prepare presentation materials for technical presentations
    • Manage, develop, and maintain marketing files and databases including brochures, qualification packages, project sheets, marketing collateral, staff resumes, abstracts, white papers, and project photography
    • Manage, create, and maintain web and social media content and platforms, establishing a strong brand voice and strategy.
    • Develop a social media plan including various Business Development campaigns around Ballard’s Markets and Services.
    • Manage, collaborate and interview team members to secure information for technical writing to prepare compliant, compelling written content for newsletters, white papers, award submittals, qualification summaries, project sheets, and resumes
    • Partner with technical writers to conceptualize, create and integrate graphics to convey proposed solutions within SOQ/proposal responses
    • Develop new and innovative graphics for events, projects, and advertisements
    • Manage and develop Ballard’s tradeshow brand for Business Development and Human Resource departments including booth selection and design, brochures, signage, swag, etc.
    • Manage, organize and prepare Ballard’s internal and external newsletters
    • Manage the development and production of in-house videos to promote the Company’s culture and brand for recruiting and business development
    • Partner with pursuits team to lay out, review, and recommend graphic enhancements on large project proposals.
    • Manage and maintain Estimating, Engineering and Marketing SharePoint sites’ content and additions
    • Manage and maintain marketing policy, branding policy, best practices and templates, data platforms, style guides, and corporate branding efforts
