    JOB DESCRIPTION

     

    Assist senior engineers in designing, testing and fabricating tools for use in commercial nuclear power reactors. Take on small design projects utilizing Solidworks that entail mechanical design, fabrication and testing. Along with the design and testing write reports and operating instructions based on findings. PWR Tooling, BWR Tooling, Stearns Roger OEM Equipment and Tooling.

     

    IBOE develops tools and provides services for refueling PWR/BWR plants in the United States. This includes long handled service tools, general service tools, inspection/overview tools, robotics, engineered heavy lift equipment, heavy lift oversight and component replacement tooling for reactor heads/reactor internals.    

    Required Skills Required Experience

    ALL CANDIDATES MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY.

     

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least four semesters completed by start of internship/co-op.

    • Strong technical problem-solving abilities

    THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS ARE DESIRED AND WILL BE USED TO DIFFERENTIATE ALL CANDIDATES WHO APPLY FOR THIS POSITION.

     

    • Previous internship/co-op experience in field of study
    • Machining/Welding experience, Hands on Mechanical experience
