    Taylor University is seeking applications of candidates for USER SERVICES ANALYST.  This is a FULL TIME, TWELVE MONTH, EXEMPT position located in Upland, Indiana.  Resumes will be accepted until position is filled. The User Services Analyst (Field Service Concentration) provides a wide range of technical assistance in serving the academic and user technology needs across the campus.  

     

    MISSION STATEMENT:    The mission of Taylor University is to develop servant leaders marked with a passion to minister Christ's redemptive love and truth to a world in need.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include providing one-on-one assistance, supporting classroom computer and presentation technology, supporting user and academic software, supporting computer and mobile devices, supporting campus printing, and providing technology workshops to help faculty and staff to improve their effectiveness through the use of technology. In particular, provide direct, immediate support for user and academic computer technologies and applications. Will support hardware and software operation for the User Services and Academic Technology areas and will identify and report any resources for repair, upgrade, or replacement. The concentration for this position is field service and classroom technology support.

     

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:   Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in a Computer Science or related field)

     

     

    Required Skills

    • Practice of effective interpersonal skills and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
    • Ability to teach and effectively assist people of all levels of computer ability.
    • High-level competency with computer hardware and operating systems (Windows, Mac, Chrome, iOS, and Android) and application software.
    • Mid-level competence with instructional technologies.
    • Mid-level competence with classroom presentation technologies (including Atlona, Extron, and Crestron).
    • An aptitude and interest in discovering and learning multiple instructional and information technologies.
    • The ability to work effectively despite service request interruptions during the course of regular duties.
    • Flexibility to handle a variety of responsibilities and tasks in support of academic and information technologies in a University environment.

    Required Experience

    • Two to four years of user and instructional technology support experience.
