    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full-Time, 52 weeks

    CLASSIFICATION: Career Plan

    ANNUAL SALARY: $50,000-$53,000 based on skills, qualifications, and experience

    FLSA STATUS: Salary/Non-exempt

    HOURS: 37.5 hours per week; Generally, 12 pm to 8:30 pm shift Monday through Friday. Some flexing of hours and schedule to include weekend and morning hours may be required as determined by the College to meet needs.

    **JOB SUMMARY: **The Purchasing and Physical Plant Coordinator provides project coordination with purchasing operations and Physical Plant.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Organize, coordinate, and manage daily purchasing activities to ensure a high level of service and performance.
    • Review requisitions for compliance with policies, procedures, and best practices, including federal and state grants and programs, and resolve discrepancies between purchase orders and invoices.
    • Determine and maintain required documentation to comply with College record retention schedules, grants, and restricted funds.
    • Maintain purchasing system processes and updates; train and support faculty and staff in the use of software purchasing systems.
    • Advocate for and provide training on the adherence to the NAEB (National Association of Educational Buyers) Code of Ethics.
    • Contact, advise, and/or assist faculty and staff with requisitions, delivery dates, sole justifications, projects, substitutions, supply sources, etc.
    • Resolve defective or unacceptable goods or service issues. Determine and negotiate corrective action with suppliers and/or internal users.
    • Coordinate College property disposal procedure and maintain compliance.
    • Evaluate repairs of College equipment and service requirements; coordinate timing and support required campus inspections.
    • Serve as a point of contact for second-shift Physical Plant staff.
    • Complete and maintain Servsafe certification and/or other credentials as required.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Supervision received from the Executive Director of Business Services.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: An Associate’s degree in business or related field with relevant work experience. Minimum one year of purchasing experience and/or office management experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree, purchasing certification, and/or experience within a college environment preferred.
